Such a great band, too bad I’ll never listen to them because I can’t stand Dead Heads. One of those live performances so nice it's hard to believe there aren't studio overdubs.
Me and my uncle went ridin' down,
to South Colorado, West Texas bound
We stopped over in Santa Fe,
That being the point just about halfway,
And you know it was the hottest part of the day...

I hear ya.I can relate.
But if I did the same there are dozens of bands I wouldn't listen to.
It was a thing to be seen, anyways.

Oddly enough, I met my best friend at MSU and got him into the band.I hear ya.
2 of my best friends became Dead Heads freshman year at MSU. All of their “hippie” friends were insufferable. Between all the Phish, String Cheese, and Sound Tribe bullshit, I had enough. I went to an Other Ones show with a bunch of them and I was like “ok, I don’t get it” all they talked about was how awesome a certain song was in 85 or something when Jerry was there. “Oh man, when they went into Ripple from Darkstar I lost my mind! Wow!”
I will say, I always enjoyed Govt. Mule.
Some of their friends bought an Umphree McGee’s PPV at one of their bachelor partys And danced like a bunch of queers in the basement. I wish I wasn’t so cynical and could enjoy life like that.
I bought The Game on release, giant recordJammed to some Queen on the ride home yesterday.

If I never hear Bohemian Rhapsody or Another One Bites the Dust again, I’d be cool with that. Might as well throw Under Pressure in there too. Fucking hate those songs.
I was living in Baltimore then, sorry. Playing in a jam band, LOL@Pak protector if you spent some time in Lansing is the early 00’s, do you remember thw Pink Floyd cover band, “Surrogate Band”.
Oddly enough I hate Yes, but I dig The Mars Volta.I was living in Baltimore then, sorry. Playing in a jam band, LOL
We were all about prog rock, tricky time signatures and polyrhythms.
The kind of serious music that annoys bar patrons.
Fuck, I forgot about Wide Spread Panic.Oddly enough, I met my best friend at MSU and got him into the band.
Neither of us like the label "jam band" and almost every act associated with it.
I don't care much for Yes but they were excellent musicians. Bill Bruford is a top tier drummer.Oddly enough I hate Yes, but I dig The Mars Volta.
