Bivoli, Bivol's salami-eating mechanic cousin, is not very good. But Bivol is quite good.
Hmnnn

bigger man and a 5:1 underdog

I will root for the russian even though Canelo will get all the cards if it is even close to close

Bivol is good, but he can't win by KO and can't win a decision as you say. So he can't win.

You look at Golovkin 1 (Canelo did win fight 2) and the scorecards for Kovalev before the KO, and you realize that it's basically impossible for a fighter to get a decision against Canelo, absent a complete Floyd-style domination. And hell, CJ Ross still rigged a draw in that fight.

Iron chin + almost impossible to beat in the first place + impossible for opponent to win a decision even if he does win = I just don't give a shit about Canelo fights, even at LHW, as impressive as he is.

Yep, makes sense
CJ Ross card said it all

Canelo is an amazing fighter but he has been anointed and the judges will act accordingly, until someone rocks and finishes him he won't lose

Even when he does, the ref will do everything he can to keep him in the fight, slow count and all.

When I heard 3 scores of 115-113, I was sure the fix was in for Canelo

All 3 judges gave every round exactly the same, including the first 4 for Canelo.

The hard thing to reconcile is that on the one hand, there's no rational conclusion that can be drawn from this other than it is blatant corruption.

On the other hand, how the fuck would this actually work in practice? They all agree to rig the fight for Canelo but at some point the call comes down 'we can't get away with this, start giving rounds to Bivol'?
