Don't be mad because I have a relief pitcher with as many wins as your best starter...
But here's a stat that your best starter can be proud of...
How many times have you beaten the Red Sox in the playoffs in the last 20 years
Over the last 3 or 4 games, the Reds bullpen has been about as bad as a bullpen can be.
The starting pitching has been outstanding. Greene is going to be a star. The question is for what team?
Facts.
The Reds have actually been better than I thought. After that horrid start (3-22) they've been playing decent baseball.
Greene is legit.
Rookie Graham Aschcraft - who you will see today if you watch the game - might be even better. He has some nasty stuff.
Doesn't much matter when the bullpen fires up meatball after meatball. They have an ERA of 9.92 in the last 5 games. Frustrating.
I admire your glass half full attitude. Matheny should be out of a job soon so maybe you guys can get him
I like Bell. Not really for his game time decisions, but you can usually count on him to lose his shit about 2 or 3 times a month. I don't know that he's been ejected yet this year, but last season it felt like it was happening once a week.
If they aren't going to win, I'm happy they show some emotion and get pissed off every now and then.
I especially can't wait until the next Reds/Cubs series. There is a big fight coming between those two teams. I hope it happens at the Field of Dreams game.
And you guys have Tommy Pham smacking fools. Only time its ok to be a Reds fan is when they play the scrubs.
Not sure what Ashcraft's deal is today.
He has a nasty fastball that behaves as a cutter. It's been virtually unhittable - and this game he's throwing mostly curve balls. That's not his strength and he's getting smoked because of it.
Stupid gameplan.
