Seeing we have so many politically divisive threads cluttering up our feed right now figured we could bring us together by daily (if i remember) asking a this or that type question about the things that truly truly matter in life.

Todays selection has been brought to you by my lunch.

I know i may be in the minority here but i gotta go with Carolina Gold over traditional bbq sauce. I'm not a big sweet guy and much prefer the tanginess of that delicious Carolina Gold.

Between those two, I’d prefer Sweet Baby Ray’s. Speaking of SBR’s, I learned this week that there is as much salt in 3 tablespoons of the BBQ sauce as an entire bag of Lay’s potato chips. (Sweet Baby Ray’s Buffalo wing sauce has as much in 3tbsp as THREE bags of chips)!!!

Well yes. That was implied. But I needed reference photos. So regular bbq or Carolina gold ?
depends on the cut and what I'm making...for ribs, I do a dry rub and sauce overnight, then add sauce during cooking, finish with a sugar glaze.

the sauce is mildly sweetish, but the rub is not.

I was thinking more pulled pork or chicken I suppose. In which case I want gold. For beef whether ribs or brisket I’m probably thinking traditional.

pulled pork is a tough one. sometimes I do it like a picnic BBQ pulled pork sandwich (slaw on the side, like a gentleman), just make my own sauce with chili sauce/brown sugar/cumin/worcestershire/etc.

But sometimes I do it like a carnitas, and I boil all my peppers and aromatics before pureeing/straining out a sauce.

I have had both of those
Carolina has more depth
SBR is good for a cheap sugar sauce

I like Spicy Sweet myself
This is one of my favorites that is available most places

I would gladly eat both of them

I like it sweet, but extra extra spicy. I have SBR the sweeter one right now, but I don't really use BBQ sauce often. I wind up just using a dry rub on pork and beef, usually something with notes of apple. I haven't found a wing sauce I love because they're never hot enough, but they're no BBQ-based. Ribs are wet marinade, but it is some crazy concoction my mom makes that's really fucking good.

I really like this thread idea Kingtony87 @Kingtony87 :sunglasses:

When I get wings - it's Carolina Gold.

And if they bring me blue cheese instead of ranch I'm throwing bombs.

Another banger up for today. Which of these bad boys has the better collection of films.

For me this is a tough one but i gotta go with Stallone. Rocky, Rambo, Tango and more. Super close decision though.

I was going to just jot down "Stallone" because that's my gut instinct, but instead I will rank each of their films that I've seen and compile an average. I will not be showing my work, but will report back.
