Imagine walking out your giant covered porch & looking through your own peach tree to see a pond 20220807_142104.jpgfull of bass & catfish you're about to cook for dinner.

Wouldn't that be nice?

I would have to have a shower and toilet. They can be in an outhouse/shower house, but those two things would be a must.

I simply can't imagine leaving the grid though.
Learning how to get water from an aquifer sounds tedious, & getting to know a community just to trade your grazing acres for a year's free beef sounds daunting.
No way would I wanna trade my goat cheese for the neighbors fresh honey.
Just because amarinth might grow wild in my front yard doesn't mean I want to part with half of it for 2 yards of icky maneur just to grow beets & sweet potatoes that are just gonna end up in some root cellar.
YUCK.
I need Disney and arguments, not an electric guitar at night off a solar panel & series battery bank over moonlight glancing off waters.
KFC sounds like a winner over some dark heirloom tomatoes, red onions & deer loin.
Gimme re-makes of soylent green in real-time over hard yellow egg yolk any day.

And LOL @ "red" chicken meat, it's probably got bird flu.

Imagine an actual flame lighting your relaxation space over energy-efficient LED's.

Pathetic.

I hope people realize government is looking out for them & stick to a one-track mind & career.
Free thinking endangers safety & security.
Automatic transfer switches, generators, windmills & uninteruptable power supplies are for cavemen.

Fun post

You got a fan on that outdoor deck. Interesting, never seen that in person. Is there a bug screen on that deck?
Fireflies?

Looks like a cool spot(not temp wise).

^^^ This photobucket random guy undoubtedly has a manifesto referencing "sovereign citizenship" & "natural living man" over the greater good of covid boosters.

Definitely pros and cons to being miles away from civilization.
I've heard them rural folk figured it out, but I don't quite trust non-traffic situations.
I need to know my emergency response is just minutes away, Uvalde style.

There's definitely peace in solitude.

Providing you don't go nuts and turn into the unabomber.
