The labeling on some Bourbons is almost comical with their crazy stories.
This bottle of 1776 has contradictions right on the bottle. I don't really give a shit - bourbon is bourbon - but some of the marketing of these bourbons is out of control.

I couldn’t agree more. The Indiana whiskey (MGP) was a dirty little secret for a long time. Some of it sucks, but there are some decent ones that come out of there too. But yeah, the marketing shit is comical sometimes. If you look around you will find a lot of bottles that have “Distilled in Indiana” on the label. It’s kind of crazy, it’s a huge operation.

It hits the stores with regularity, but if you don't catch it the day they get it you're pretty much out of luck.
Most places put a limit on the purchase. This store was limit 2. Most are 1.
They didn't even have a place for it on the shelf. They just put it in the aisle with a LIMIT 2 sign.
I didn't go back out. But I did have my wife stop on the way home to grab 2 more bottles so I'm set for a bit.

I'm not at the liquor store often enough to confirm, but I don't think I've ever seen the Buffalo Trace shelf empty. Maybe a handful of times.

Im such an alcoholic that I could barely taste jack daniels. I started to enjoy that Costco kirkland whiskey. They had it one of the episodes of the boys.
