If its people just spreading rumors, I get it, but it shouldn't be censored, imo. They should just add the factual evidence to dispute it.

Censoring factual information, no.

That copper i have is from when I pulled out my old boiler heating system. 1/2" to 1" copper pipes. If I had to guess, about 2-300 linear feet, maybe more.
I had been looking at those smelters to turn it into ingots

Why do you think anyone will take copper as a payment?

Same reason they took it in ancient times. Soft metal that can be made into many things. Why did we use it for our currency for decades. You used pennies, right?

Edit. I dont mean to pay my mortgage. Im talking the hypothetical of a collapse of the monetary system.where youd have to go back to barter and trade. I can also scrap the copper for cash. Putting it in ingot form just makes it easier to store.

Ancient times primarily relied on barter. Copper, like any PM, is only useful if you need something that copper is the raw material for.

Romans had currency, Persians had currency, Greeks had currency. Guess what they used, copper, silver, gold. How far back are you going for your barter and trade?

Copper of course is a base metal but is set to 10x, it's why there's a "coin shortage"; like Rome, collecting the metal before issuing mud.
Initially it was changed to zinc, and that is being collected.
I collect copper & all good metals whenever I can as just good practice, including separating pennies or crushing aluminum cans.
And I plan to smelt much into bars.

My mortgage buddy saying a western alliance bank is about to fold.
I have not seen or looked for any official sources yet.
