I usually put on the show of shows and blow the place out.
To say things are tight this year is under stating it.
Taking care of 2 adult kids has been killing me for a long time.

Should I keep the tradition & my reputation alive?

I am not a wealthy man
could not imagine or justify such an expense

Downscale and launch a few Mortars and call it a year IMO

Save a few Million

Your fingers aren't worth the risk. Fireworks are awesome, but the risk is not worth the reward. Buy fireworks, hire illegals to light them off, imo.

You could probably get good money from one of the daughters.

Let the fireworks commence!

If you foot the bill for that show, I can't even imagine the money involved. Crazy.
I buy the "show" for my parent's get together and I usually drop around $500 - but I'm doing 2" mortars with a lighter.

What you posted is next level. I assume you have a professional fireworks license. If you are doing this rogue that's even nuttier. Haha.

Please post details on how to make these strobe rockets.
It's an investment, and a hobby.
Basically you've got 3 mainparts.
Stick
Motor
Header

Just like school rocketry but the header is the end effect.
In a strobe rocket, the composition incorporates the strobe effect into the motor(lift/"jet").
Chemical composition vary greatly, but the process is time-consuming, can be tedious to start, & requires special tools.
When it's streamlined, a 'rocket press' is the way to go.

Most tools are going to be aluminum & brass to avoids sparking composition.
The easiest start project would be a simple bp(black powder) rocket.
Easiest & funnest header(kaboom) would be a simple salute.
Granular black powder, 'meal-d', Sulphur, KCLO³(pitassium nitrate for whistle mix/burst charge)& KCLO⁴(potassium perchlorate for flash powder) charcoal powder, binders like bentonite clay, rice hulls, sponge titanium, & aluminum powder are just a few chemicals needed.

There are a thousand cool things to do with pyrotechnics.
The best foot-in-the-door is to join a local pyrotechnic organization (club), and explore what they offer.

On my bucket list is a trip to Malta to build beraq/maltese shells.

Here's one a club member built during the plandemic. We shoot several times a year. It's a fun hobby.

Am I the only one who originally clicked on this thread thinking there was a picture of 4+ girls, and we would be deciding whether she was worth the bang?
