niners want to give him 3 years plus an option 4th...Aiyuk wants 4 years plus an option 5th....and guarantees are a hang up also. Would be hilarious if the Niners came out and said, you know we tried but just couldnt make him happy so we have agreed to terms with Pitts...and watch him U-turn quick

Mike Garafolo says Brandon Aiyuk wants an adjustment on the final year of the new deal with the 49ers:

“The 49ers feel like they’ve already caved enough and caved more than they wanted to. They have come up significantly from their offer in the spring.

My reporting is that they have pretty much agreed to over the first three years of the deal, which is usually the hard part. That’s the guarantee, the cash flow, the APY over the first couple of years. Aiyuk just wants an adjustment in the final year of the deal.”

Aaron Banks broke his pinky & had surgery. Hope is he’ll be ready for Week 1.

— Shanahan said he also hopes Ricky Pearsall can still be ready for Week 1.

— Hufanga got positive news from doctors yesterday. Can increase football movement activities & return to practice potentially after that.
