Having a lot of people disappear but not explaining why, or even attempting, is a cop out and doesn't appeal to me. At that point it's just stuff happening to shock the audience with no real underlying reason why.
Cop out wtf lol. It's not a scifi show. The disappearance is merely the catalyst to introduce you to The Leftovers world where everyone is fucked up. The story they are trying to tell is how people deal with loss differently. Attempting to explain what would cause 2% of the population to disappear would need some kind of supernatural explanation and that doesn't work in the world they have created. It's very much grounded in reality. The parts of the show that shock the audience have nothing to do with the disappearance itself. The shocking parts are the decisions people made because of it such as joining a cult, leaving a family behind, giving up speaking, etc. Nothing supernatural.

You tell me it's grounded in reality, but the premise of the show is 2% of people just disappear. I'm getting mixed messages here.

I think I'll wait till it's over completely and then decide, because at the moment it sounds like people doing random shit because something unexplainable happened, which is giving me Lost PTSD flashbacks.

Watch it! I would never steer you wrong. Last night was likely the last episode.

I recently finished season one of The Sopranos, no idea why I waited this long.

Did you see last week's Southpark? It's just too perfect this season. I've watched the whole season like 3 times so far and it's not done yet.

If episode 9 (with Jimmy "helping" Leslie) then awww yea. So good. The Caitlyn Jenner and Mr. Garrison duo destroys me. And of course, Nathan is the GOAT.

1.The Leftovers
2.The Wire
3.Mad Men
4.Breaking Bad
5.Twin Peaks
Never seen the left overs but from what's been posted above I'd like to check it out.

I tried to watch season one of the wire at least three times and find it too slow

Mad men is awesome but lack of cursing, violence and nudity made it hard for me to keep watching.

Breaking bad is in my top 5 for sure, great show.

Never seen twin peaks but I'm interested, isn't it sort of like X-files?

I loved Dexter. GOT and Sopranos now are my go to

He's skinny, Chief @Chief. Florida has a lot of cool wildlife: cougars, gators... other things.
We definitely have a great variety of wild life. I see so much daily at work. Gators, deer, hogs, skunks, opossum, armadillo, foxes, all manner of bird and fish.

When I first saw him from a distance, I thought it was a panther or coyote, but I have never heard of anyone seeing a wolf. Made my day.

A) kill that fucking thing
B) why are you not posting pictures of all the hogs you are killing?

Do it. Life is full of misery, loneliness, and suffering. That's what this show is all about.

Cuz its like watching real life yo. I wasn't into it at first then became hooked.

Don Draper is the most interesting man in the world.
Breaking bad is in my top 5 for sure, great show.
Jesse's self acceptance speech is one of the GOAT moments in tv.

Yea kind of. It's a fucking weird world. Standard David Lynch surrealism. It's not for everyone, but if you're a fan of his work then you most likely would enjoy it.
