Yeah DJ is really something.

I understand what you’re saying but that’s so new to CFB it’s impossible for some to like that aspect. It’s mostly about money now and it’s going to ruin it for most imo. Games aren’t cheap to go to. I believe just the 4 seats my parents pay for are 20k a year and that doesn’t include my seats (maybe 8k). The emails asking for money don’t stop either. From the 12th Man or Texas Aggies United. At one point people are just going to straight up say this isn’t worth it. The ROI is garbage.

You saying any of this is fun after last year is admirable though.
LOL why does it have to work out for my team for me to like it?

I just can't hate on the kids getting paid when this shit has always made billions and they were the only ones not getting any. No one thought it was ruining the game when coaches were switching all the time for that giant paycheck (no that is not aimed at TAMU any more than anywhere else).

I just dont see what it has taken away. The product itself is as fun as ever. Maybe I am sincerely missing it but it just seems like *some* people being grumps that the "kids" ain't working for free anymore.

I’m not hating on the kids although some of them deserve the hate they get. I’m frustrated by the “billions” and then turning around to ask the fans for handouts. All in the name of winning. Fuck that.

Big Ten is stacked.

I can see how Oregon's football team can benefit but what about all the other programs? They aren't going to want to fly their women's lacrosse team all over the country to make $150 in revenue. At least if their conference is regionally based, they can take a bus.

The switch-up only makes sense for football.

Met a guy out here at Omaha last night at a pizza joint / bar (he owns it), who played on the Nebraska 94-95 National championship team. Dude had great stories about Frost & Lawrence Phillips.
Was he wearing his NC ring?

There is no female sports team anywhere that MAKES money. But yeah, shorter travel would allow them to lose less.

Football drives the decision because football makes all the money. Hell, i think a healthy percentages of men's basketball programs lose money. It's all about football.

I said make $150 in revenue not $150 in profit. Of course they're losing money.

Well, it's for sure unsustainable. Something needs to happen in the near future.

NCAA folds completely and the conferences take over as their own governing bodies.

"much worse than what they had on USC"

They didn't ever have anything on USC. The standard they used was "either knew, or should've known" because they had zero evidence. They just assumed SC was doing audits on Reggie Bush's parents' finances despite them living 100 miles from campus.

A standard never applied before or since.

Fuck Paul Dee that fat, corrupt fuck, one of these days I'm gonna find his grave and go piss on it.

I’m interested in seeing how much SC’s defense improves without a turnstile at coordinator. Back to back tenures that included Helton and Grinch might have resulted in the biggest waste of talent in CFB history.
