I've had some morbid stuff recommended to me by the YouTube algorithm that I get stuck on. Pee Wee Toms vlogged his cancer treatment, and all the ups and downs that came with it. I watched him until his unfortunate end. He married a beautiful redhead girl weeks before he died. They both knew he had almost no chance to live, but they made the best of that time regardless. He pops into my head all the time.

Now more recently I get a recommendation to watch this interesting Canadian dude, who has almost no viewers, and is vlogging his slow death by Dr. Pepper. His timeline is full of confessions that he's a Dr. Pepper addict, and claims to drink up to 3 two-liters per day. He was fairly normal looking a few years back, but now he's been diagnosed with diabetes, lost all his teeth, and lost a dramatic amount of weight. He uploads a video every day around midnight.

the audit videos can be great but most of those guys are just insufferable assholes creating problems. what blows my mind is that their schtick still works.

Unlike many of the copycat channels that sprang up after his channel gained huge popularity, he doesn't do ridiculous builds like a huge house with a swimming pool and cheat by getting in modern machinery to do the heavy lifting off camera.

I find it really relaxing to watch.
