Have not seen the piece but if it's like you say that's more O'Brien showing how shitty of a football coach he is again. Its his job to coach and Watson even with his faults is not a dumb guy. He's spoken a few times about plays and he knows ball.
Also Clemson ran the spread in college but that scheme has been in the NFL for a while now. Everyone runs some spread. O'Brien has not been a HC in the NFL for a while so I guess people forgot how much he likes to talk down on players.
