So far...

Episode 1 = Junior (his start and takeover of the territories)
Episode 2 = Heat (all the lawsuits and criminal cases)
Episode 3 = Screwjob (WCW's run leading up to the Screwjob)
Episode 4 = Attitude (rise of the Mr. McMahon character & the Attitude Era, ending with Owen Hart)
Episode 5 = Family Business (obviously about Shane & Steph, Linda stories...plus XFL venture)
Episode 6 = The Finish (finally get into the latest scandals, starting with Benoit and CTE)

That reminds me I heard a story years ago when Toots was working with the family in the early days, before his personal vices got too bad and they let him go, that MSG was the mecca, so when people would do anything to work the garden, Toots would take them in his office and have them blow a donkey in front of the office.

Two episodes in and I'm not sure why Vince agreed to do this. Even if you ignore all the latest controversies he's been wrapped up in, they had enough shit to bury him in dating back to the 80s.

Was he led to believe that the documentary would make him look like an angel? Because that was never going to happen unless Vince had some sort of creative control within the production of the series.

I can only think it is because Vince is shameless and has always leaned into controversy and not away from it.

Only now the scandals are way too hot.

I'm only 5 minutes in and can tell this is going to be great. Damage control statement from Vince yesterday already makes sense.

Some thoughts:
  • Vince clearly put everything before family, but he had a shitty examples growing up obviously
  • He wanted to put Steph/HHH marriage on PPV...lol
  • Vince wanting to do an incest angle with Steph?!?!
  • Vince saying, "It was consensual...but if it was rape, the statute of limitations was up..." Holy YEEESH!!!
  • The "show much go on" after Owen's death was pretty ghoulish
  • Anything Hogan said is of course suspect, other than him admitting on being a stooge during Ventura's unionization
  • Tony Atlas gives zero fucks
  • Lot of wrestlers have trouble pointing a finger at him because they owe him so much
  • Bruce Pritchard is such a simp for Vince
  • Bret is great as long as he's not speaking about himself
  • Austin not believing in CTE is a thing apparently
  • Can't wait to see how pissed Vince Russo is over not even being mentioned for the Attitude Era stuff. He only even got a second of screentime when they talked about the downfall of WCW and the people there blowing it. :tearsofjoy:
  • I hope we get a season 2 once the legal shit hashes out, and goes into his being ousted more

Yea one episode in it’s clear that Vince has daddy issues. He’s 100 percent a socio path because of his up bringing.

On episode 4 and Vince being a compulsive liar is hilarious.

Talking about the Attitude era:

'We were still family friendly... nobody died'

'We never had any rape or anything'

'We never had any guns or knives or anything'

Yeah, that and the "I'm nothing like the Mr. McMahon character" juxtaposed with everybody saying, "That's just Vince," or "That's Vince turned to 11" was pretty funny.

Apparently McMahon's handlers had to remind him about shit in his past during the interviews, so he may be so old he's not entirely all there anymore.

Great series. I was glued to it last night. The Vince/Shane story with the knife sums it all up. He wouldn't let anyone get in his way, not even family. Shane should have been more patient.

I binged it today. What a wild ride that dysfunctional family has had. Great show.

Wish they shot more material with disgruntled wrestlers after the head shitting became public.
