The "Tully Monster" was a creature that lived during the Carboniferous Period. It had one large tail fin, stalked eyes, gill-like structures, and a long jawed proboscis. The animal has yet to be properly classified due to its unusual anatomy.

The Roman aqueduct of Segovia, Spain is still standing despite being over 1,800 years-old. It was so well designed & constructed in the 100's AD that it didn't require cement or mortar to hold the stacked granite blocks together. It kept supplying water to the city until the mid-19th century.

Yeah no shit - or actually, quite a lot of it.

How anything can survive in that quagmire is beyond me, I can only assume that the dolphins live upstream of most of the population centres.
