Constitutional amendments, state or federal, should have a much higher bar than a simple majority.

Sorry you gotta keep smoking in your basement bro.

Even people like me theoretically think it should be decriminalized. But in practice most people don't want to smell it everyfuckingwhere all the time outside, like you do in any legal city.
Don't want kid's walking through clouds of it on the to and from the bus or at the park their soccer games are at.

Open smoking like that is what will get legal state to reverse/restrict it in the future.

If the dirt dirtasses showed even a little respect for the normies just living their pot free lives this wouldn't be an issue.
I've been smelling weed in public since the day I learned what it smelled like. That's never gonna change. If the law would allow for recreational use, you'd see lounges pop up overnight, where the dirt dirtasses can relegate themselves to.

So... contrary to your snarky first post, both measures have majority support, correct?

If I smoke weed, I absolutely, positively, do NOT want it to be legal. It being illegal, living on the edge, fuking Young Guns style, is like 90% of the fun...

I just want it legal to use edibles when my spinal issues act up.

Also... I'd much rather smell weed on someone than smelling like cigarettes and whiskey... or the clouds of vaping retards.

You would think so but no, that is not what happens. Very few states did or are doing what say CO and CA are doing. Here its basically no different, except that it now smells like weed in public everywhere.

I enjoy the convenience of going to a store and knowing the batch has been lab tested. Ultimately we need to be able to grow our own. It's just a fucking plant.

Can it not be recreationally legal and still banned from public use? I pretty much only smoke when I'm at home anyway. I don't like to be stoned in public. But it could be treated similar to alcohol with public intoxication.

Buying yes, same price/quality

Legally growing is such an upgrade
In my experience it has taken every single person I know around 2 years to get to the point where they can actually grow something even halfway decent. Very few exceptions to this and mostly because those dudes were growing when it was illegal.

When people ask me why I want teh government drastically downsized. I point out to them that the government is so incompetent that they lose money doing something high school kids have been able to make money on forever.
i use this argument as well. everyone knows an absolute loser who grew weed in the 90s or early 2000s and bough a truck, boat , harley maybe even a house . now the govt is involved and they charge double per gram and still lose money. it is amazing. they say you could put the government in charge of the sahara desert and in 5 years they would be dead broke and out of sand

it is recreationally legal here but you can only smoke where you can smoke cigarettes...which is practically nowhere in BC . ironically you can smoke crack or fentynal wherever you like
