Seems so. You can be a dickhead when you got a good cop Alpha like Andy Reid around to smooth things over.

Anyone know what that green piece sticking out of that lions players helmet is? I thought maybe it was a mouth guard but noticed it’s stays in there during the plays

I believe the lions have a player that has two mouth guards, red and green.. idk what the reason is, like if it's his backup or something.

Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch is known for wearing a lime green mouthpiece on top of his helmet:



  • Why he wears it: Branch has worn the mouthpiece since college for personal reasons, including that he can't breathe with it in. He also calls it his "little trademark".



  • How he got it there: Branch first stored his mouthguard in a vent hole on his helmet in high school. When he lost it, he stuck it in the helmet and it stayed there.



  • How it moves: The mouthpiece wags back and forth when Branch moves around the field.

This was one of the main narratives when people were up in arms about him not getting a HC gig. Allegedly pretty insufferable.

Mahomes definitely took it to a new level after that shit last year. Horses ass comments about being blocked from greatness at the presser were mega cringe too.

Funny, I never noticed that shit from Payton.
