Mel Gibson is much better than Bruce Willis but Die Hard gets the nod from me. Lethal Weapon is fun but the cheese level is near 10.

"Die Hard"! Just a great film, certainly has maintained it's entertainment value. While I like "Lethal Weapon", I always thought
"Lethal Weapon 2" was the best in the series. IMHO

Hard to guage honestly.
Die Hard seems to have had the stay power, but I don't discount the machine manipulating that subversively. In fact I "bank" on the fact that's exactly what pedowood has done to Mel Gibson.

I think naturally, without the ebb & flow of the manipulated hive mind Lethal Weapon is probably the better movie. I enjoyed it more when it came out, Lethal Weapon II was more successful than DH2 & so on.

Both storylines are great & equal imo, probably.
I don't want to play devil's advocate, have never really thought about comparing them, & liked them both, although both are just as cheesy wearing grey.

I've gotta go with Lethal Weapon because that's what I enjoyed more when it came out.
RIP Rickman, legendary guy.

Also, Jingle Bell Rock opening bolstered that song all-time.

There's my perfect & long-winded wasted review on you degenerate tik tok brains.

To be fair, Mr Willis isn't exactly known for his liberal leanings.

It's unfortunate that Lethal Weapon feels more aged than it should because of the saxophone heavy soundtrack.

lethal weapon the first movie to ever display BJJ, with a gracie being on scene when a triangle choke was used.

Die Hard for me, pretty epic film with some wild large scale action scenes

Lethal Weapon is amazing, one of the best buddy flicks of all time

Lethal weapon isn't a Christmas movie. It has no Christmas movie theme like Die Hard. Usually, a Christmas movie has a lead character going through zany adventures, leaps and bounds to get home by Christmas to his family. Die Hard meets this criteria. LW just has Christmas songs and one dinner in the middle of the movie. Has to end with the hero getting there in the nick of time.

Riggs is literally buying a Christmas tree in his opening scene

Santa is even in the jump scene and Riggs tells the suicidal guy Merry Christmas

Not seeing a polling option and think it's already been asked before but.....who u got?
I gotta go with Die Hard. I just watched Lethal Weapon a couple of weeks ago for the first time in probably 30 years and it did not age well. It’s a little too self-aware of being an ‘80s movie to live on like Die Hard, which doesn’t wallow in the era that it was a product of.

Bit of trivia for LW, the guy Riggs has the gun pointed at in the video cap is Anthony Kiedis's father from RHCP fame.
