Ricky just doesn't do anything for me. Came in doing the same cringe pose he did for five years in AEW that never got him over.
I'd say his ceiling is IC title run but with Jey probably winning the belt at WrestleMania, who knows. It's smart to stick him in NXT though because he'd get lost on that main roster right now.
Just keep Jey off the mic. Last week's opening (or maybe the week before) was super stiff.
Unless they somehow pivot to Io vs Rhea for the belt, there's nothing on the Mania card I'm looking forward to at all.
Maybe if they do end up doing AJ / Bron, then that could be a great match.
The rest is beyond meh. Word is a Punk/Seth/Roman triple-threat...lol, no thanks. I love WALTER but have no desire to see him & yeet-boy again, unless Gunther squashes him a la Shaymoos squashing Daniel Bryan. I don't care about Charlotte going for another belt, unless she also gets squashed, but I'm expecting her to derail Stratton's momentum and it take her another 3 years to get it back the way Charlotte did to Rhea. Don't care about Cena / Cody unless one of them turns heel, and it ain't gonna happen.
Maybe if they do end up doing AJ / Bron, then that could be a great match.

Iyo vs Rhea is on the Raw after Elimination Chamber, so it's possible that plays into the Road to Wrestlemania if Iyo gets fucked out of her chance, and we might get a Triple Threat at mania or something.
But yeah, otherwise it's very weird where they are going with things.
There were virtually no surprises with Elimination Chamber qualifiers, they made sure the biggest names got in (sans Iyo). So nobody expecting any surprises in Toronto either.
And don't get me started on the Tag-Team divisions which are in shambles with no great storylines. Even the "who wounded Jade" story has flatlined due to how long they waited for the half-assed "reveal" the other week.
They seem to be sputtering and scrambling a bit, and I'm wondering how much of it was due to Rock pulling out of WM in like Oct/Nov...yet still insisting to appear at Bad Blood just to point for...uhh...reasons....and then turn babyface on Netflix.
The Rock stuff is getting retarded at this point. The guy has all the stroke (sorry Jeff Jarrett lol), but him randomly showing up when & if he wants to fucks things up. They absolutely *lucked* their way into a good main event last year, yet people give booking credit as if it was the plan all along.
Have they finally done the Jade reveal, yet? I felt like they were gonna do that at the Rumble, but they didn't. I didn't really care about that group before as I'm completely over Bianca (she's just the blame, female version of Super Cena), Jade is still green as gooseshit, and nobody gives a fuck about Naomi & never have (nobody woulda give a damn about her walking out had she not been with Sasah, and even her being married into the Samoans doesn't seem to matter).
They have crazy tag team talent on SD with DIY & MCCM alone, so how they're dicking that up is beyond me.
Yeah, they showed some shitty footage of Liv and Racquel "leaving the scene" so circumstantial evidence, but that is why Naomi and Bianca showed up to ruin Racquel's chances of getting into the Elimination Chamber. So probably setting up a title match between those four so they have something to do at Mania...even if Liv/Racquel weren't behind it.
As for DIY & MCCM, the original swerve with the DIY break-up fake-out was solid, but since then has gone nowhere good with them trying to manipulate Pretty Deadly to help them retain the titles. Meanwhile Street Profits are trying to be menacing, but they ain't competing in matches. And the other men's TT belts in the War Raiders hands got sidetracked when JD got wrecked...so now they feuding with the Creed brothers, who while good in ring, are some of the blandest dudes in the world on the mic which is why they need Gable.
And the mid-card belts are in strange places too. They gonna push Nakamura v LA Knight again, but there's been no heat there for a while as that's been on the back-burner for a while. The other appears to be Bron vs AJ Styles, but old man Styles gonna put the kid over, so no drama there either.

I thought the DIY breakup fake-out was great. I was originally disappointed, as I'm a huge Ciampa fan and was very much hoping we were getting the Blackheart again, with them running back their NXT feud. But them both going heel was a good swerve. As you said though, it's gone nowhere since then.
Street Profits haven't been over in years. Montez is athletic, and Ford is the fucking WORST at selling in that he never takes more than 1-3 offensive moves before he's switching it up. Been that way since he was in NXT and I can't stand it. Their goofy face shit was over for a while, then they got stale, then they did fuck all. They weren't over as heels with Lashley, and they won't get over as heels now. Shoulda just gone ahead & broke them up already to see if Montez can be a singles guy.

The Creeds aren't doing anything, nor is Ivy Nile. I had hopes for that faction as I really like Gable, but feeding them immediately to the Wyatts after forming made zero sense. Gable went literally from one losing faction to another.
One thing I did neglect to mention is that it looks like they could go with Chelsea Green vs Piper for the women's US belt. I have no desire to see Piper in the ring as she sucks, but Chelsea is absolutely awesome and the buildup should be fantastic.
