Apparently Ben Askren is extremely ill

I didn't realize staph can fook you up this bad. Especially someone as healthy as Ben. Makes me never want to train again

Yeah, being almost 50 I sometimes fantazise about training again for fun,but then I'm like why? body feels great, I can still work the bag, and while training can be fun, i have no desire to be man on man anymore, beep. Had staph on my calf years ago that had me on IV antibiotics, still have a big scar. A bud almost lost a thumb due to a stanky hockey glove.

I'll be 55 this year and in the last 5 years my training has become 100% different.

More about me and just enjoying myself.

BJJ Fanatics has a sale going on right now for a Ben Askren rashguard, 100% of the profits go to Ben's recovery

Here's the full interview @Wild posted a clip from. Ben says the symptom that sent him to the hospital was what he thought was a back spasm. Remembers checking into the hospital, then next thing he knows he's waking up from double lung transplant. Crazy.

What a great attitude he has. Always positive, always grinding. "I could be dead. That's the other option".

I am not buying anything American right now, but I bought this to support Ben.

Unreal how much weight and muscle he lost in 60 days. With his work ethic and grit, I bet he looks back to normal by Christmas.
One of these updates he shared a clip of how he looked before he got sick. He was jacked to the gills.
