People don't get Poirier started fighting after Duffy and is younger. He is still improving. I'm not sure if he would have won in a 5 rounder, but he lit Duffy up in the clinch in the first, dominated the second, was tiring in the third, but still got the takedowns and hurt duffy.
Conor has better stand up than Duffy and hits much harder. It might be closer, but Conor would win.

I gotta say, I like Dustin at lightweight. He looked fantastic in the first 2 rounds, a little bit of slowing towards the end of the 3rd, but nonetheless looked good. Great fight.

@Psychotropic Wanderlust Conor absolutely has better stand up than Duffy. In the 30 seconds they were standing in their fight, Conor had Duffy hurt and was closing in for a finish against the fence when Duffy landed a reactive takedown, and then they were in Duffy's world. You see Duffy is/was a BJJ ace who has improved his striking, but it isn't on the level of a phenom like Mcgregor. Part of that is his natural gifts, but you can't divorce the two.
