My grandfather died last week after running a kebab shop for over 30 years...He loved that place because of all the diversity....We buried him with all his tools of the trade....

He will be turning in his grave.

You finally get it. Although we cant take all the credit, just about 80%. Once the Brits got rid of the nazi sympathizer King and that pussy Chamberlain they did alright. Even the Frogs had a part in it. Of course you Canadiens did your part for your Queen as well.

The thing is, we aren't taking Christians, Sabeans, Yezidees or any of the other regional minorities who are facing extermination as a direct result of our greedy meddling in the region. If it weren't for Sweden these ancient minority peoples and cultures would surely die out. I'm feeling awful about our role in this personally; taking in a few thousand Muslims does nothing to assuage my feelings.

The Soviets had concerns about invasion from Europe, which had happened twice in the last century and a bit, giving them legitimate security concerns about Eastern Europe. However, it was only after they were not given any say in how Italy was to be governed, like had been agreed by the allies, that the Soviets decided that the other allies would have no say in governing areas they had liberated.

Whether they would have taken over the rest of Europe if the UK and US hadn't been there is really a moot point, because the Soviets would not have been able to beat the Germans had the UK and US not been supplying them with materials, while stopping Germany from gaining middle eastern oil.

Surely that suggests that the religion itself isn't an issue? Maybe something more accurate would be:

Can we stop bringing in Syrian refugees yet?

Or

Can we stop bringing in refugees from non secular countries yet?

Not my views, just trying to follow the logic.
