If Diaz knocked Lawler out with a stiff jab, Conor can knock him out as well. Both Southpaws, both full pressure fighters, coming forward at all times, taunting, etc. I'd say it's a possibility.
Robbie can also put you in the hospital if you are undersized.......and he will be looking to do just that.....

Yeah, but that was over a decade ago, and Lawler hasn't been knocked out since...and he's only been KOd once. Plus, he's looked unfinishable in his last few fights with condit, rory, etc. If Conor KOd lawler, I think it'd be more of a result of precision than power. Conor really likes to hunt the chin and he does have a laser left lol

Gotta give it to Conor, the guy has supreme confidence and is shooting for the stars right now. Gotta love a guy who is willing to move up 2 divisions to make super fights.
And Rhonda wouldn't go up 5 lbs for a catchweight. McGoat

As much as I want to see the hype train derailed, I'd also LOVE to see someone capture two titles at once, let alone three
It would be fucking bonkers. The Burrito Bro's may have to just fire the Boiled Egg and sell the company, because Conor will be running that shit.

Yes for sure. Conor is a mathematician when it comes to striking. A guy who puts Aldo out like he did though, has that power, regardless of his precision. Who'd expected Aldo of all people to ever get knocked out. I am not disregarding Lawlers power. I am happy to see him as WW champ, but the fight would be competitive.

Condit hurt Lawler a lot easier than that in the first or second it's a small wobble but it happened.

I think a lot of fans are either still in shock or a bit depressed that Aldo wasn't even able to test him

the fight was one of those "not like that!!" moments

edit: I mean a lot of us wanted to see a brutal KO but not in 13 damn seconds on the first significant shot :D

I said I will hyperventilate if he beats rda, if he then beats Robbie I will redline my car at 150+ mph and keep driving until I either hit a brick wall or some deep lake and I will not try to save myself.......but respect to Robbie for saying yes to this fight.....gosh damn son, I'm looking forward to Conor fights, please ban me
Why would Robbie turn that fight down? He'd be fighting a much smaller guy and as hard as he hits, definitely the hardest hitter Conor's faced, he's got a better than average chance. I personally think Robbie would be too strong for Conor in every area.

It would definitely be a huge money fight and Robbie would definitely be super confident about it, so I'm not surprised he'd agree.

Now Conor being dillusional enough to ask for that fight is another matter. I think that a fight with Robbie would hurt him, and not just physically. He'd more than likely lose and the way Robbie hits coupled with his ability to take massive punishment from guys much larger than Conor, it might be one of those fights that changes a guy forever. Like Cain vs JDS II and III, Junior's not the same guy now. I think Conor would lose and lose badly, which would hurt his invincible image he's crafted. I feel he's already playing with fire by fighting RDA, so why take a bigger risk when he wouldn't need to?

Good points. Can't put a price on your health. I think Robbie has more to lose in this scenario monetarily though.

I agree. I think he has more to lose all the way around. No champ wants to lose his title, especially not to a guy coming up two weight classes. But I also think he's a terrible matchup for Conor, so I think Robbie has more to lose but is much less likely to lose it.

Alright this is just getting ridiculous. Idk who this Jeremy Botter guy is but he must be a troll.

Mcmuffin isn't dumb enough to step to Lawler.

Its all a moot point anyway because no way in hell will he get past RDA. There's just no way.

People may think I'm crazy, but I think this is a winnable fight for Conor. A 170 wrestler, not happening. But Robbie will always keep it standing, so it is conceivable (to me anyway) that Conor could "Floyd Mayweather" his way to a victory by sticking and moving. I think Robbie might be susceptible to a smaller but much faster guy like Conor shoe-shining him and getting the fuck out of the way for 5 rounds.

Like $150 I think. The moneys not the issue its just that the idea of him beating RDA and doing the River Dance out of the octagon with 2 belts makes my stomach churn.

If he beats RDA I'm putting myself on a self imposed 48 hour cooling off period and re evaluating if I can be an MMA fan anymore.
