All fight hype. There's no beef there, Dada and Kimbo are "homies" (as the "brothers" like to say).

Nah, from what I gathered a few years ago - before this fight ever had any real chance of happening - Dada was working security for Slice and running his own backyard fights in Florida and Slice dumped him cause he was getting a little too much attention (i.e. the youtube hits and the Netflix doc) and has basically treated him like he was a joke ever since during a few call outs from Dada. I don't think these guys hate each other, but they aren't friends and Slice had done a lot to make Dada look bad so I figure he would love to take his head off.

You could never be too safe at any event these days. Although, its not happening in Florida so they're probably okay. If it was in Florida where they're both from I could see reason for concern. Did anyone here see Dawg Fight (2015)?

I tried watching it. It didn't catch my interest like i thought it would though, and i got bored and tried a different movie.

It's weird. In NJ its pretty much known most people going are training partners of the fighters and likely know how to handle themselves. Rarely does any craziness happen where someone gets out of hand. Maybe a few drunks from out of the area but nothing outside of that in my experience.

Dawg Fight is an odd documentary but I like the film maker, Billy Corben. He did the Cocaine Cowboys films as well.

I believe Kimbo just had Dada on as a security type guy. Nothing serious just one of those guys who rocks a yellow security shirt at events. Then Dada got butt hurt when Kimbo started getting some money and went on to do better things for himself and family. I believe that's when he started throwing Kimbo's name out there. To try to get a sob story kind of feel to draw attention for himself. And if you're from the streets, doing that is very disrespectful and can result in worse thing's than just a fight. As the great poet Rakim once said "Trying to put shame in my game to make a name? Ima put it on a bullet, and put it in your brain." I honestly believe Kimbo really wants to hurt Dada on principle alone, the money is just icing on the cake.
