Aldo : My only exception would be fighting thenotorious , at any time, anywhere

love how he gets his trainer/coach to opt out of the fight on his behalf. class act

Conor loves to play cool, but I bet he's legit shook up right now. It'd be a huge risk to his reputation to take a last minute fight and lose. He was set up for a no-lose against RDA.

He did it once already against probably his toughest or 2nd toughest style matchup in his division on late notice. If he's shook, he'll probably shake it off and be ready to go.

Not many people are willing to take a fight on less than two weeks notice and for good reason. Do you think these guys who fight for a living are scared of Conor?
Even if they lose, they'll make serious money. If they win, their name will be all over the place. The only downside is that if they lose, they likely won't get another shot at him, but screw it cash in on the opportunity.

Either that or they've been hurt the whole time but no one was asking.

Aldo makes no sense anyway. It would have to be a non-title LW bout.
Aldo said that the only fights he wants are either a title fight or a rematch with McGregor, regardless of whether a title was on the line.

I'm not saying that he's lying about being out of shape, I'm just saying decathlon-ready Aldo would've declined this fight.

when his trainer tells him who the replacement opponent is he will open one eye, say "They're all the same" and go back to sleep

I really think RDA screwed himself other than just getting injured and losing the payday. The more time that goes by the more pressure and attention builds up. I think if Aldo had fought the first time the pressure just wouldn't have been there as much. Pulling out just makes the process longer.

What do you think this will do to the PPV numbers? If I recall correctly, when Aldo pulled out and Mendes was announced, the hype exploded according to all their nerdy metrics and shit. Conor may be in for an even fatter payday than expected lol
