I remember watching Beverly Hills Cop on VHS at my Nan's house when I was maybe 11 years old.

I'd never been exposed to swearing on a level like that before. It was amazing.

Very cool if true.

He's an outstanding actor.
Well I'm trying to find proof and coming up blank, maybe it was a hoax. Only proof I can find guesses he's worth 2.5 mil, but I assure you the articles claiming he was worth 300+ seemed legit a couple years back and made me think he was cool as fuck

He's playing Richard Pryor's dad in the biopic about his life, but he is done with comedy. Old age has made him afraid to offend people. He refused to do Norm MacDonald's sketch that made fun of Bill Cosby for the Saturday Night Live anniversary. What a shame. He does release some music tracks every now and then.

1980s Eddie Murphy movies drop kick the shit out the stuff we get force fed today. No I don't want to see a movie about some fat ginger chick who is apparently funny because she's fat and ginger

the quarrels and casual hilarious 80 racism that was clearing up in culture but still fucking funny between him and Nolte in 48 hours is really something hilarious to behold.

1. 48 Hours
2. Beverly Hills cop
3. Trading places

and there isn't a ton of room in between them, but 48 hours is too fucking hysterical and quintessential 80's to not be my favourite.
