Ronda Rousey got knocked out by Holly Holm. Meisha Tate finished Holm by submission. But bookmakers clearly are more interested in the two bouts between Rousey and Tate when it comes to setting betting lines for their expected third bout later this year. Rousey, who has defeated Tate twice by submission, is still the betting favorite, though the line is not quite as lopsided as it was when it opened.

Rousey opened at -1200 with one agency, with Tate at +600. But that quickly came down to what we're looking at right now. Rousey is still as high as -625 on some sites and there is a large difference in the lines as sites continue to add them.

I can't quite articulate what I'm trying to say here, and I know there are a number of differences in their situation, I just feel many want to see Ronda vs Holm for no other reason than seeing a fighter they dislike get brutally koed for a second time, hoping she then retires in shame never to be seen or heard from again.

I don't see what is wrong with Tate vs Ronda 3 under these circumstances. If Ronda wins who do you think will be lined up next? and you can't say Dana was avoiding Holm vs Rousey cause he openly guaranteed her a title shot when she returns, long before Miesha became the champion. It was Rousey who made the decision to sit out longer and Holm who made the decision not to wait.

I do agree, I think Ronda should be allowed and even encouraged to fight her way back into contention instead of it being the be all end all for her. I can't remember when Zingano last fought but would she be available for a title shot I wonder, theoretically of course.

Rousey and Dana will take the easiest fastest way to a title. Then fight everyone other than Holm should she beat Tate.

difference with the Chris getting a rematch was the other 2 top contenders didn't make a good case for their own title shot

Romero got suspended and Jacare really didn't look good at all. It's an intriguing rematch and way better than Bisping Rockhold 2
