I never tap because I get sexual gratification when I get choked and slapped around.

You may win but I come.

Who's the real winner?

Lets see one of these tapout wearing chubsters take a stockton slap to the face while rolling with Nate motherfucking Diaz. See if they tap.

Reporter sounds like a conner nut hugger all butt hurt trying to make excuses and not recognising that tap for what it was.
He completely pussed out and quit that fight long before the tap.
He turned and gave Nate the neck unimpeded. Didn't even put his hands on nates arms to try and lessen the pressure. He gave himself no chance to escape the choke, simply because unlike Holly, he did not want to survive it and have the fight continue. He wanted out and running out of the cage is frowned upon, so he just gave his neck up and quickly tapped instead.
Nate broke his spirit, plain and simple.

imagine all the 209 slaps Nate could've if he didn't go for the chocke. Not bad for a fat boy coming off Cabo and partying.

True, tapping is no shame. Holly should have tapped, since Miesha's choke was pretty perfect in itself and not realistically fightable. But, as the Gracie breakdown just showed me, she could have broken Miesha's ankle(s). I'm sure she was not aware of it though.

Conor however, would have been able to fight the choke, Nate's hands were not perfect in the choke. Would it have worked? Maybe not. But he didn't even try. That's the thing. And as Hwoarang @Hwoarang already put it, it seemed a lot like he wanted out long before that.
Tapping in itself, I don't think a lot of people hate on that.

You are correct. Fact is Nate was going to finish him because he broke him. If he wanted to fight the choke and stay in the fight he would have immediately grabbed an arm and tried to hold on. We've seen others do it when I thought they were cooked and when I wanted them out of the fight, but they wanted to continue because they weren't broken.

Jones didn't tap

I say this in jest, but it is nice to see someone try to fight to the last instance This was probably not a smart move by JBJ, but he kept going, fought it and ended up winning. I guess people want to see people fight til the last chance. There are taps and there are other taps. PVZ for example tapped...but she was fighting on the back foot the whole time, noone can say she didn't "try hard enough". A lot of people say Conor broke when he went for the TD, I don't know if that's the case, I don't know what Nate Diaz choking me feels like either but as a fan I understand the wanting to see an extra effort and I guess a lot of people thought Conor tapped too early, but in reality he wasn't getting out of that.

P.S. I chose PVZ for the obvious reason that she had a lot of haters too because of her promotion, but she went out and showed the heart of a fighter. Heart you can't learn in the gym, but you can always hone your skills to become a better fighter. So noone talked shit, even though a lot of people were hoping Dana's gal loses.

I don't fault anyone for tapping to a submission, and neither should anyone else.

In a lot of the cases where people don't tap to chokes and go unconscious, I don't think it's a conscious decision to allowed yourself to get choked out - most of them are trying to fight it and just go out before they know what's happening (like what happened to Holly).

There's no extra points for getting choked out, it still goes down as a submission loss so I don't really see the point.
