Maybe thats where our budget went. When I got to my unit in 2001 we had a 48 million dollar a year budget, three floats later i left in 2005 and it was down to 12 million a year to keep 35 LCAC's operational. It was pathetic that we had to steal parts from other boats in our own unit just to stay mission capable. Thats about the time we had to start buying our own batteries for our NVG's and shit like that. Fucking good times.

It actually makes sense if you think about it. Longer hair would make it easier to notice change in wind, pressure drops etc
We bought a lot of our own stuff, as the only Navy unit on Pendleton we were often over looked. For fucks sake my first float there we had M16A1's. Yes, we did haha. Brand new out of the box. That was a rough deployment. We were better equipped as time passed.

I found some assholes trying to steal the side skirts off my track once. The unmitigated gall. I didn't turn them in, but i smoked their asses off and then tore their NCO a new one in private. Still can't believe that shit. Like i wasn't gonna hear "srrrqeeeeeak" while i'm inside the damn track! I had those two bitches put their boots up on my 88 spade and beat their fuckin' faces in the sand. Damn i'm still a little pissed about that i just realized as i type!
...fuck i'm gonna go do some pushups, lol!
Oh I remembered for a reason, but it's not something I'd bring to the table without provisos.

As i look back on it the thievery isn't the part that bugs me, it's the stupidity of people who were supposed to be on my team, feel me?
