I like my coffee like I like my violence....I like my coffee how I like my women, ground up and covered in boiling water
I've used this joke here before, but......I like my coffee how I like my women, ground up and covered in boiling water
Roasting doesn't affect caffeine content, but it does change the bean's density and chemical makeup, which influences flavor. So coffee beans come from a cherry like fruit after they remove the fruit pulp, dry the bean then roast it. The longer you roast the bean the darker it gets and the "richer" the flavour gets, but this lowers the caffeine content.
Winner!This is a classic...thank me later.
sounds like how a terrorist would drink coffee.....jus sayinWinner!
If its expensive or cheap coffee, mild, strong, whatever. You have to try for yourself to find out what you like most.
The only ones I think are dumb are the cat-coffees. Wasn't worth it at all imho.
As far as preparation goes, I mostly do it Turkish. Which means, put the powder in the cup, then boiling water in the cup. No filter, no nothing. I'm not afraid of no small crumbs like a pussy, but most of the time, they all stay down anyway. And pure black of course.
Agreed.This is a classic...thank me later.
I got a sweet $20 Mr coffee from Kroger as well
Maxwell House Columbian Blend is just fine for this ole redneck. Less than $5 a week. Brewed in our $20 Mr Coffee Maker.
Made some cold brewNothing wrong with a cheap drip maker. They make great coffee. But that Maxwell house? Blech.

OK, so apparently cold brew coffee is really good. And I have to agree. Here's what I did. What going on here?
Hmmm I'll try that.OK, so apparently cold brew coffee is really good. And I have to agree. Here's what I did.
I took a little over a cup of coffee grounds put it into a bowl. Took 4 cups of filtered water and poured that into the bowl, stiring as I poured. Then cover the bowl and let it sit 12-18 hours in the fridge or out on the table. Then after that time has passed open up the bowl and run the grounds/water mixture through coffee filters into another container. That's the ice brew concentrate. Then what I did to drink it was put some ice in a glass, poured 1 part coffee over the ice, 1 part filtered water, 1 part chocolate milk.
I was very skeptical at first. But holy fuck what that awesome! And it didn't upset my stomach at all.
