I'll stop criticizing her when she makes 135 and stops asking smaller women to move up in weight to fight her.
Ronda fought at 145 previously....doesn't look like that'd be a problem to fight at that weight. Especially currently

Interested if this will be at 135 or 145. I can't see Zuffa starting a 145 lb division just for Cyborg, I also can't see them doing a catch weight fight just to put Cyborg on a card.
According to Fight Network, it must be 145lbs..she seems unwilling to cut the extra 10lbs, and she's already a Zuffa fighter at 145 but has been competing in Invicta for no reason, my guess is they're bringing her in for a money fight and maybe announce a women's 145lb division.

That's an old argument that has no merit. Ronda didn't cut weight to make 145. Cyborg is cutting 30 lbs to make it. Size difference. It's a real thing.

Dana already said there is no plan for a 145 lb division. He said the next division is 125 lbs. Makes sense because there aren't enough legit fighters at 145. That's why Cyborg has to call out women in a lower weight class to move up.

Well, if she'll be fighting in the UFC as a 145lber...that's your 145lb division...might not have a belt, but who gives a fuck. Are they seriously going to say there won't be a 145lb division, while having women fight in it, just to avoid seeming like a hypocrite? Its Dana..the guy was saying women wouldn't be fighting either.

Taking dana at his word is like sticking your bleeding head into a sharks mouth and thinking it won't bite you.

No need to play it off. Nobody else can name enough 145ers to make a division either. So you're no better or worse than the rest of us.
I know, that's why I asked whether you knew any straweights, I certainly didn't know Jedrejczyk, and they were passing her off to be the most talented striker or some shit.

I still don't know any besides Joanna and Gadelha.
Joana and Gadelha are both good, nobody knew them before they came to the UFC though. This is my point, when there will be a division that's when everyone will know at least a few..I'm not a UFC scout, I don't have to know them, since they signed Cyborg, they might as well have her fight in the weight they signed her at. I'm not against her going to 135, personally I think she can of course make the weight, but that's largely irrelevant in our current conversation.

The thing that makes me think there are aren't enough 145ers is because Cyborg has made a career out of fighting blown up 135ers and women who fought even lower than that. Invicta always announces her fights but it takes over a month to announce the challenger and it's usually made the same week as the fight. They have a real problem finding legitimate challengers and it always ends up being some scrub nobody has heard of and never will again.

Athletic 145 lb women are rare unless they're on gear. There simply are not enough to make a viable division out of. I don't know if there is enough interest in watching freak show fights where Cyborg beats up some tiny Asian woman to make it worth it.

You may very well be right, there might be some that simply don't go to MMA orgs like Invicta though.. There's a big influx of eastern european fighters (like Joana, them Bellator girls etc), some from kickboxing or muay thai that could have talent at 145 (iirc highest kickboxing women's division is 153, so who knows?). There's that gal that beat Cyborg in a MT match..I dunno..we'll have to see it to be able to find out I guess.

The 125 lb and 135 lb divisions were already established and fairly deep before the UFC created them. The 135 division in strikeforce and the 125 division in Invicta. The 145 lb division is and always has been as shallow as a kiddie pool.

Baars already tried MMA and she sucked. She's the best at Muay Thai but a MMA fighter she is not.

Now you're just being silly, have you missed some of the pic's were she blew up after the holly fight.
I'll give that she isn't as big as cyborg but not cutting for 145 is a load of BS

She didn't cut. It was her natural weight so that's the division she fought in. She moved down to 135 because after the Budd fight she realized she was too small for the division. Gaining weight while recovering from an injury should be expected, especially for a woman. She's back now and training.
