lol conor did real well talking smack to aldo when he barely even speaks english.its not so easy when nate has been talking mad shit since elementary school and it has zero effect on him.conor knows he wont be able to hype this fight like he was able to hype the others.he wants no part of the rematch .the psychological advantage is gone. if he took the next 20 years to work on his ground game he wont catch up to nate.this is not a good fight for conor

Lol. Almost as good as the ufc 200 presser:
*picks mic, drops mic, picks mic*
"...Conor got his ass beat"
*drops mic*

Conor got comprehensively beat and still wakes every day fresh but still beat. Nate took the wind from Conor's sails, wrapped in them like a cocoon, rammed a mast up his ass, then suspended him over a fire like a marshmallow. TOASTED!

McGregor as a promoter is elite... considering the level of the audience and all. As a fighter, not so much.

The smartest thing he could do at the moment, would be to actually retire, go to Bellator and be the facade promoter there. Have Coker run the show, have Conor present it. He would kill Dana White promotion-wise, he'd make a lot of money and Bellator would get ratings like never before. I mean can you imagine if he started shit-talking on the ufc and dana white on every bellator press conference? The numbers of those pressers would go through the roof.

I like both fighters. Connor is a strategist and Nate is a warrior but the hyperbole in this sport is ridiculous.

I don't know you but that's a nonsensical thing to write. What follows after that is not an improvement in my opinion.
You do have to remember we are still talking about MMA and not just some striking competition. Elite MMA fighters are complete well-rounded martial artists in ALL aspects of fighting. And McGregor is just average - if not below average - at his ground game, so no he's not an elite MMA fighter and he will hardly ever be. Deal with it.

What in his performances give you reason to claim he is "just average - if not below average - at his ground game?" It's not like he was beaten on the ground by some purple belt.
The last part of your post leads me to believe you're a bit immature and lacking experience in many a thing. Deal with it.:D

He has a record of 19-3. All his defeats were via submission. Out of his 19 victories, only one was via submission. And he did all that while cutting an incredible amount of weight fighting opponents that were much smaller than him. He is an elite weight-cutter, an elite promoter, an elite striker, but an elite mma fighter he is not.

Let me guess... you thought The Revenant was the best movie ever, right?

He might not be the best on the ground, but he ran through most fw division, ko'd the champ in 13 sec, he has like close to 90% Ko rate in his entire career, who do u think is elite in ur mind?

His partner gunny was considered elite on the ground and demian maia made him look like a blue belt, gunny still not elite??

he may not be a "super well rounded mma fighter," but he does have a ground game. no it will not compare to many black belts in jiu jitsu but it is still good.... and he is still the champion. i see what you're saying with the term elite, so i will just call him great. can't deny that he isn't great
