In the Germany case, that fraction is 1.2%/2.0% = 60% of what they in particular should be paying into the agreed pool.

They are essentially pushing for everything that made the EU the untenable mess it has become.

Trade deal to immigration deal to non-representative government deal. Loss of sovereignty, gdp goes up, average worker squeezed, civil unrest for being marginalized at a bigger goal of globalism.
