Not so much a breakdown as it is more of a cursory reaction to the event this weekend. Just relaying some of my thoughts about the main card. More in-depth breakdowns and analysis of this card as well as UFC 202 (specifically McGregor/Diaz 2) to come shortly.

The punches condit threw did nothing, and Maia didn't even need to throw a single punch. He got the takedown too easily and because he had so much time condit was done..

I was hyped as condit walked into the octagon and it was over 5 minutes later, leaving me with a taste of disappointment . Hope condit comes back tho

I was expecting a great fight, but was instead treated to a masterful performance by a true Jiu-Jitsu master. Figured Maia would have little to no problem taking Condit down, so it all came down to Condit's ability to last in Maia's wheelhouse in order to make him pay later (ala Rory McDonald) and unfortunately for him it didn't work out that way.

I really, really don't want to see Condit hang it up. He is still a world-class fighter.
