I thought I heard the police up on that hill yelling at me to come surrender myself to them. So of course immediately I started running up there, and as I'm scrambling up the hill one cop yelled out that if I had any money back in the car, I should go back and get it because there might be some processing fees or whatever. So I ran back, got the money, then ran back up to the hill where supposedly these police were. Once I got up there I couldn't see any cops, so I took off running in the direction I thought they had gone. Turns out I was wrong. And I guess I ran for too long, trying to find the police. I know I'll be criticized for this but I stand by my decision to run toward where I thought the police were.
If MMA was a jits tourney where everyone has a fair shot at winning, I'd support your theory. However, so few people get to get into legit MMA orgs that having known gatekeepers keeps the legit comp out. I liken it to having a pinto or a corvette. Yes, the pinto will get you from A to B, but the vette will do it faster, safer and with more comfort. Roy is the pinto. He will give you good fights, but if you have him around as entertainment, what are we saying to the kid who has a legit chance?
I was speaking in theory. Of course anyone can get a fair shot at getting into Zuffa, my point is why keep someone who will never have a chance on the payroll? By doing so, you will create issues such as the anti trust suits that are going on now.

How about when he finds out something he stated isn't accurate, instead of stating it asap, how about he just says nothing? Is that better? I don't think so.
For instance in life, I may say something and mean it with conviction, but then memory kicks in and I realize I was slightly off. In situations like this, I clarify, but you call it "backtracking".

In my experience with FRB, he has been flat out wrong a very few amount of times, compared to NUMEROUS times he's been right or close to it.
All I know, is FRB made smoke yesterday, and now there's fire. Was he 100% right? No, but was he able to give mma fans a heads up before any "major" mma outlet? He was WAY ahead of them, as he is many times.
I've seen him break more stories for him to be considered valuable than not valuable.
Not sure what you're getting at to be honest. Roy Nelson is a fan favorite. His fights are pretty fun to most people, usually someone gets knocked out more than half the time. If the UFC only kept people who had a chance at being champion, the roster would not have 550+ people

If he is smart he will take a page out of Rampage's book and blame it on energy drinks and laws of attraction. Explaining the need to get across the city in a hurry to sit down and watch 'The Secret' with a friend in need is the greatest excuse ever in my eyes. Automatic dismissal on all charges if for no other reason than creative brilliance. For full affect though, you must come off as a babbling lunatic while trying to explain it.

roy has value as a fan favorite. ya he is a gatekeeper but so are 50% of all fighters.another 45% are journeymen. a very select few ever stand a legit chance at being champion. ya he says some dumb shit but he also gets punched in the head alot. he isnt a brains surgeon. not only does roy have value to ufc as a fighter he is going to be kept around forever because he would add value and legitimacy to the roster of bellator or whoever else he could fight for
