Bader is at a tough spot in his career. He clearly isn't good enough to beat the top 3, probably won't win the belt in his career. Where does he go from here? Drop to MW? Work harder to try for the LHW again?

Bader is way too big to drop to middleweight. If he wants to change weight classes he should look at HW.

I agree with you that he couldn't make the drop to 185 but he doesn't have the chin to even look in the general direction of the heavyweight division.

Maybe, even probably at the higher echelons, but there are a lot of old dude that he could smother for money at heavyweight.

So he'd basically be in the same position he's in now but fighting bigger, older guys... I'm not sure that's worth getting cracked by JDS, Reem, or mauled by Cain.
