Diaz gassed Conor imo. There was only one man in that fight who was on the verge of breaking and it was Conor in round 3. I agree with the Conor decision but in terms of a fight, Diaz was the winner in my eyes because, Conor was saved by the bell, came back marvellously, but was still saved.
Yep! Every other fighter you see with hands on hips, jogging away, you immediately assume they're gassed. Conor was just reseting though. I enjoy Conor's fights but let's not be silly here

He was resetting in a way but he was gassed, he recognized it and did the only intelligent thing so hats off to him but yeah...as you said.

I think Conor was running for a few seconds here and there. But if Conor was so tired, why didn't Nate take advantage of it and run him down??? I just don't see how a couple seconds of evading the action has become such a big deal.

It stands out huge because it's a big change in his usual style. I thought Nate would take the rematch because I assumed Conor would never resort to point fighting and would rather go out on his shield than play it safe and risk losing some of his aura. Obviously I was wrong. If that was any other fighter it wouldn't be made into such a talking point. When the Mystic Mac thing starts up its all "Take his head clean off! He won't make it out of the second!". Fun and entertaining for sure but he lived up to it pretty well until that fight, did a good job getting that mojo back with Eddie though.

10-8 Conor
10-9 Conor
10-8 Nate
10-9 Conor
10-9 Nate

Looking at the criteria for 10-8 rounds, Rds 1 & 3 definitely fit.

lol at conor resetting.. that is the only fight he has ran.. clearly it is not the normal strategy for him.. kinda like condit vs nick diaz.. chalk it up as a smart fight by conor imo

Well, one guy was walking around looking up at the clock, trying to survive, and the other was stalking him around even though he was bleeding like a stuck pig.

It all depends on what the individual thinks is more important!
