I actually have 1-3 on dvd just haven't gotten around to watching them yet. Phantom Menace was so bad o haven't been terribly enthused about watching the other 2.
IMO phantom menace was the "best" of the prequels.
On paper the ideas are there but they were poorly executed.
Too bad too because Ewan McGregor was a great cast as Young Obi-wan.
I love Ewan. Is his last name really mcgregor? That never clicked.
I keep telling myself to watch the Netflix clone wars cartoon. I saw half first season and it wss good. Lil animated yoda flipping around. Obi1 as a Ewan mcgregor lookalike. And I had a thing for alien females so I was into asoka. Thought she was hot then looked it up and she's like 14. Maybe that's 14 alien years from a planet with a longer revolution around its sun tho...
Well, went and saw it tonight.
I'm going to catch a lot of shit for this, but I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone go see it. By far the worst Star Wars movie I've seen. Casting was horrendous, writing was lazy story arc was anti-climatic, at least half of the movies events had nothing to do with the final outcome and
all in all, I am disappoint. Anytime I watch a sequel/prequel I immediately ask myself "If this were a standalone movie, would they make another?" In this case the answer is a firm no. If this wasn't a Star Wars franchise movie it would have been a box office flop or direct to DVD.

you wouldn't have to murder the whole fucking cast if you had taken the time to make us care about the characters. Forrest Whittaker, the 2 Chinese guys and the droid were the only people remotely interesting. Seriously, you finally make a cool droid and you just fucking kill him off?

Not as cute an alien face as kid ashoka, but that's awesome to get adult ashoka. She's probably so badass
