Minakov should win but doesn't look like he has been training based on his last fight, so you never know

I only liked this because of the way it was finished.

In all honesty this tells us nothing about whether or not he has any real potential in MMA. Defending the takedowns of a butt flopper that's shooting from 30 feet away without even setting it up with a half assed jab is pretty easy to do.

Of course, it's his 2nd pro MMA fight so I shouldn't be expecting much but anyone with a resume like his should have a bit steeper of a climb than the average guy with no fight experience.

Why isn't Minakov fighting in the UFC?

I missed the reason.
I think he's still technically on Bellator's roster. They finally stripped him of the title after about 2 years of inactivity but haven't released him from what I remember.

Because he should be in Rizin in a Main Event instead of buried on the prelims of a card headlined by a couple of women or guys who are both on 3 fight losing streaks.

The guy was definitely a can.

RvR has a very aggro style and likes to exchange in the pocket like alot of Dutch Kickboxers, with smaller gloves though it's a risky style to use. We all know that putting the ear muffs on with smaller gloves isn't as effective when you and your opponent have 8 oz.

He's still fairly young(27) although, he haas been Kickboxing for many many years. Doubt we'll ever see him in any major org like the UFC or Bellator, but fingers crossed.

Would love to see Rico join the HW division one day.
