Demetrious Johnson talked to Cody Garbrandt 'off scene', will not fight him next

Although Demetrious Johnson is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world and has etched his name into the MMA history books forever, fans wanted to see 'Mighty Mouse' take things a step further and challenge Cody Garbrandt for the bantamweight title.

Johnson, who defended his flyweight title for the 10th time against Wilson Reis at UFC on FOX 24 this past Saturday, was open to a mega fight against 'No Love' in the past but says both men are on different career paths.

'DJ' told Ariel Helwani on a recent edition of The MMA Hour that he and Garbrandt had a personal chat behind the scenes and decided that they were not going to fight each other.
