I've got

Stone Sour and KoRn

Tool

Queen and Adam Lambert

Depeche Mode

I'm honestly looking forward to Stone Sour more than anything I've got lined up and I ADORE Depeche Mode. I think I love SS a bit more right now though.

Say whatever you want about Slipknot teenage angst, Corey Taylor's the best voice in rock now our Cornell's left us.

What have y'all got coming up?

Tool is the best of those. Don't expect to see anyone running around on stage or doing anything crazy. Great visual show on the screens and typically perfect mixing on the sound so it still sounds fantastic. Korn tends to sound like crap live. One of the times I saw them I left early because the sound was so terrible that all I could hear was Fieldy's bass. Stone Sour just isn't my cup of tea. Queen should be good but I'm not sure what I'd expect from that show. I'd like to see Depeche Mode. That would be cool but I wouldn't have high expectations at this point.

I'm desperate to see them again because when I saw them at Download a few years back Maynard was in a shitty mood and called us all a bunch of hippies. Should've been the best ever because they played with the sun going down behind the stage but it just wasn't that good.

I know for a fact Tool are so much better than that and he had an off day,so it's not put me off.

He's definitely a moody guy and it's much worse if he senses that the crowd is weird or fucking around on their phones or anything like that. That said, if you ever want to see a different perspective from him you have to check out a Puscifer show if he brings them around. Fantastic, fun, shows... I mean.. This past tour's opening act were wrestlers. He seems to have a lot more fun with that musical endeavor than Tool which he takes super seriously.

No shows in my future. Always have to drive to go and it's not worth it for me anymore.

Plus concerts have taken their toll on my poor ears.

Blasphemy!

Of course, I'm a crazy person so I can't judge. But I love finding shows on Friday nights in new cities or cities that I don't get to very often. Work a short day on Friday, drive 5 hours and check into the hotel and roll to the show. Drink overpriced beer. Listen to music and be deaf for the next day while exploring. Good times!

Unfortunately after these many years Corey's voice isn't what it once was
Still an incredible signer and slipknot puts on one hell of a show

Tool also puts on a crazy good show
Just don't expect to see much of Maynard, he stays in the background

I remember one time I saw tool and they took a break but instead of going backstage, they just chilled out on stage
One of the guys lit a cigarette and held up his lighter, man, ive never seen so many lighters go up so fast and stay lit so long

Don't know how to describe it, just a crazy feeling to be apart of

You sound like me when I was younger hahaha
Remember pulling into NYC, heading over to Jersey to see Eddie Vedder play, then back to NYC for 2 days of radiohead

How old are you? I'm 37

Also, I almost never take a real vacation so I try to take plenty of quick weekend trips whenever possible just so that I don't get so wrapped up in work that I miss out on life.

Saw Deftones and Incubus a couple years ago. Not much on concerts, but made sure I went to that one.
Saw that same show in Charlotte 2 or 3 years ago. Whenever it was. Deftones should have been the headliner. Incubus just can't produce the energy needed to follow Chino.

You make a great point about his presence differs with each band
I think a big part of that is Tool has never been Maynards band, that's Danny Carey's band
I've always felt Maynard feels more pressure not to fuck up or take spotlight due to this
Seems more at ease with both A perfect circle and pusifier, and more upbeat when with pusifier
