As someone who went to a prison albeit not in the US I reckon no one will try to fight him, no one who knows how to fight anyway.
I watch a lot of US prison docs, Ive heard of Federal prisons being like a holiday. Im sure they vary. Check out "Prison AMA" on reddit theres some good reads on there that cover this topic

From the hundreds of hours of US prison docs Ive watched and the 4 months I did on remand here in various maximum security prisons on remand I dont think he'll get jumped just cause either. Normally you need to fuck up real bad for that to happen. Obviously it does happen but here its called a "Shit go" or a "dog act" unless the guy has fucked up

Anyway I always used to hear (and fear) that there are these mystical badasses in prison who beat up Mike Tyson and blah blah all that shit, the truth is Ive seen MUCH better fighters on the Rugby field than I saw in jail by a long shot. Most people there suck at everything lol
