Just the PPV
Interesting.
Basically most attending the NYC portion will miss 180.
Other than Transformers, not a lot of early Summer hits released Thursday/over the weekend.
It'll be interesting to see a cost/plus analysis & strategy after the fact.

Depends on how they air the fights for 180- if timed right, it's possible to catch both

1 hr. Gap maybe?
Between the 2? maybe 15 minutes but likely Davis vs Bader goes a few rounds. Watch the first 3 180 fights dvr Davis vs Bader and head to the theater.

I doubt it. The theatre I watched old UFC cards at had a bar right near it, so I could sit at the bar, have a few drinks while I watched the prelims, then walk to the theatre to catch the main card.

If something like that isn't an option, I'd suggest catching as many of the free fights on Spike before you head out, then avoid spoilers and catch what you miss on Bellator.com the next morning

Luckily I won't need to exercise these options, as I've invited Randy Couture to sit on my lap at MSG.

Because Chael Sonnen is a master at submission defense, and has never been defeated with jiu jitsu...

If they were gonna fix that fight, fixing it for a Tito win when he's on his way out is stupid.

Holata might have been looking for a way out in that, but again- not a fix. If you're gonna put your entire company at risk, Alexander Volkov isn't the guy to risk it on.

No it wasn't. It was just a shitty fight between two guys who had more street fights than MMA experience.
lol you're in complete denial. Just look at the fight. Tito tapped his own hand and sonnen saw it and moved in response.

Holata's head rocked back in response to phantom punches, AKA nothing. You saw it and you know it.

kimbo vs dada...dont even wanna talk about it, no point. The first two fights are enough.

We'll see come saturday night

Coker said they are expecting ppv buys to be in the 200k range, and if it hits 300k it will be a huge win.

I'm torn on this idea.

Knowing the history of PPV sales for non-UFC events makes me think that 200k would be fantastic and anything more than that would truly be remarkable and show that at least they have a product that fans are willing to pay to see and that definitely means that they're a REAL player in the MMA landscape to more than just the hardcore fans.

At the same time, in order to accomplish that they've pretty much thrown every name in the organization and then some on this card which means that if it doesn't really sell then it they still have a very very long way to go.

I've been exceptionally critical of the carnie act with the senior leagues and various gimmicks but I really do want them to be successful because that's better for everyone, fans and fighters alike.

I won't be buying it though as there is only one fight on the main card that I would pay for and that's Larkin/Lima. Well... Maybe I can figure out how to buy in while I'm in Hong Kong tomorrow.
