There is no benefit from this rumor for conor, so I doubt it. If anything, this would make less people interested in the fight.
Btw, brandan rios denies the claim and sates he's never met conor. Perhaps damage control, perhaps true. Both brandan rios and Jessie vargas were in the video above walking together.
there is a benefit if Floyd buys into it. Either Floyd does or not is another story but this is the same shit Conor pulled for Jose, aggravated him enough to drop everything and just go full beast mode on Conor and got finished early.
Not that crazy to think Conor is feeding Floyd how easy Conor could be KO'd so on fight night, Floyd drops his defensive style and go full beast mode.
I don't know about the last part, it's all kinda fishy is enough reason to think this is staged.
I'd think that if it were a strategy, there would be no need for brandan to completely deny the claim, and even go so far as to say he has never met mcgregor (he goes even further than that actually, saying he doesn't know who mcgregor is). I'm thinking it is more along the lines of a violation of a non-disclosure agreement, so he is attempting damage control.
