Go on the record for who wins and I'd like to hear how.

Gsp via decision after 5 rounds of a jabbing at Mike's face and taking him down repeatedly.

Bisping via 5R decision.

Yes Tim Kennedy was able to take Bisping down and hold him there, but GSP is a welterweight. He might win a round by getting a TD, but he won't win 3 rounds.

Size matters, as we recently saw in Hendricks-Boetsch.

I'm basing my prediction completely off emotion, I like Georges and that's good enough for me. If Mike wins another D after specifically calling out and waiting for a guy who's not top 5 in his division that's a fail.

i don't think Bisping takes any fight if he's less than 95% sure he wins.

Lol.
Did Mike want Hendo who's old and out of top 5?

Did he want and wait for GSP who's retired and a div below?
He's gonna have to fight Whittaker regardless after this fight though. People are less upset than they used to be, probably because Whittaker took out the top 2 guys in consecutive fights, and because Whittaker is gonna be out for a while getting his knee repaired.

But when Whittaker comes back, Bisping won't be able to dodge that fight (assuming he beats GSP, which is far from certain).

Ya Whittaker is looking great and needs that fight. I'm skeptical it ever happens but we can hope.

Completely leaves out the context. Which isn't surprising for a troll.
So now that we agree on the series of events what sort of context would help Mike look like he's not waiting and asking for guys as I described? He flip flipped so many times I can't keep track.

The Hendo fight was bullshit and shouldn't have happened. Iirc, it wasn't a massive PPV success, so it's illogical that the fight was ever made.

But I get why he wants the GSP fight when you look at how well GSP has done in terms of PPV sales since he won, lost, and won back the belt:

UFC 65: 500,000
UFC 69: 400,000
UFC 79: 650,000
UFC 83: 530,000
UFC 87: 625,000
UFC 94: 920,000
UFC 111: 770,000
UFC 124: 785,000
UFC 129: 800,000
UFC 154: 700,000
UFC 158: 950,000
UFC 167: 630,000

And now let's look at Bisping's two PPVs in which he won and then defended the MW title, respectively:

UFC 199: 320,000
UFC 204: 290,000

^^GSP has never done numbers that low, even in the beginning of his title reign. So when you look at it that way, yeah I can understand why Bisping wants a payday, and I can also understand why the UFC is willing to oblige him.

Fans immediately demanding the Hendo fight and the UFC offering it to Bisping acting on this fan interest. GSP, a historically big UFC draw, wanted to fight Bisping for the MW title on his return, and the UFC wanted that fight because it was the price of brining back a big draw, so they offered it to Bisping. Bisping would be stupid to turn that down, so decided to fight through an injury.

Then GSP revealed he couldn't fight for 8 months, Bisping tried to get him to fight earlier, but he couldn't, so he decided to get his knee fixed instead of putting it off, but agreeing to fight the #1 contender at the earliest opportunity. In the meantime Bobby Knuckles becomes #1 contender, but also injures his knee and wouldn't be able to fight until the new year. GSP fight becomes more viable for everyone, since it is the earliest opportunity, the fight both fighters want, the UFC wants, and the fans don't mind so much because Bobby Knuckles is out.

The narrative that Bisping has been ducking and diving competition has arisen because Bisping isn't particularly liked by a certain section of MMA fans, and frankly, they are butthurt he became champion in the first place. Many of those same fans thought Hendo would violently KO him, which is why they called for the fight, but now, since Hendo got his ass beat, won't even admit they were the ones calling for that fight. It's all sour grapes because Left Hook Larry rubs them the wrong way.

Not going to argue any of that there. I'm just shaking my head at people who think Mike isnt being very selective with his match ups.

Devils advocate:
199 was always going to be low because everyone was waiting for 200.
204 was in the U.K. So a shit card for a PPV compared to most, as are every one in Europe

A step further: 199 was supposed to be the rematch between Weidman and Rockhold but got switched two weeks before the event.

I'll take bisping via upset, it wouldn't be too unlikely for bisping to rock GSP and get the TKO.

More likely is gsp UD, but here's to hoping we don't have a new most boring champion of all time

For bisping To have defeated Silva, gsp(potentially), rockhold, hendo, and a few others is quite the resume. Hoping gsp loses as I really don't want to see him as the new laynpray champion of a division he was too scared to enter in his prime due to a stronger champion being there

I'm not buying the false narrative that fans demanded this fight. It was presented as such and became some what of a self fulfilling prophecy as this story was sold to us. Slice it how you want but Mike chose to fight an old tired Hendo who wasn't in the top ten. And lol and Dan getting his ass beat. Mike ate some bombs and looked like shit after. Then the scorecards.

UFC 204: Official scorecards for Bisping/Henderson revealed

All too often when Bisping fans defend his actions it gets chalked up to some sort of "you butthurt" or "haters gonna hate". Mike knows full well what he's doing when he says things to get a reaction. For you or any other fan to complain about him simply not being liked as the reason for harsh judgement is some low hanging fruit. I can't think of another champ who has had their first 2 title defenses against guys as I've described above. If it's all business then just say so, stop trying to justify him chosing who and when especially when they end up being either old grudge matches or retired WWs.

GSP doesn't fight Silva means he's too scared to move up... so what's Bisping if he hand picks a retired guy a weight class below?

GSP via jabs and TD's. He's well versed in taking down much larger guys. Bisping won't be an issue for the TD GOAT....even if he doesn't control him for long periods...it will score rounds for him.

49-46 GSP
