If that number is true, then I imagine Floyd will make in the neighborhood of $350 million and Conor $125 million. Not a bad days work huh?

I imagine Floyd's number will be substantially larger.

I think danus is not referring to full price ppv buys. He is most likely lumping in all countries and the total count of ppv buys. I could see 6.5m as true, if this is the case. That is not typically how people count ppv buys though.

Way more than that, it was aired in most countries of the world, if i just look at the Netherlands, boxing or MMA (mma gaining viewers with next day airing of bellator on primetime spike NL) isn't a big viewing sport over here.
But a lot of people were talking about may/mac, before and afterwards, we had it airing live on two channels over here one with dutch and the other with english commentary.
It was a shitty airing time because of the time difference, but pretty much a big deal for it to be aired on two channels with 2 language commentary.
It wasn't on free TV here, but on a streaming service that has a free month, with Klitschko commentating tho, I'm sure he wasn't cheap.

But yeah, the time and everything, I don't think many people watched. But I did hear "reporters" in the radio talking about it beforehand. Something about the Irish guy isn't able to use his grappling in this fight, which is his biggest strength. :D

These type of follow ups rarely get noticed whether it's true or not.
Yep since it was reported first by Dana and ran with few will actually look for the truth.
The 6.5 is more likely worldwide. But that is not how the ppv buys have ever been counted before.

Ya I was wondering that. It seems like the way this ones been counted isn't exactly on par with the other shows. Could be wrong though, I don't follow how it's usuly done.

The fact that 10 million or more people watched you do something must be a pretty crazy feeling. That 4-6 million may have paid for it is even crazier.

I'd be interested to see how it would do if they just put it up on youtube in a few months. Probably break the recent record set by Despacito.
