Borg has a history of missing weight yet again no replacement fighter ready to fill in. There is no way they give Borg another shot anytime soon. With the lack of challengers at 125 I'm curious where the division goes and who MM is willing to fight for his record.

Pity, card was barely held together after JDS vs Ngannou was pulled, there are a couple of interesting fights but not enough to warrant a ppv.

This surely cements 215's place in the hall of fame of clusterfuck cards if not being the GOAT. Sure there have probably been even worse (not much worse) PPV cards and cards that even got cancelled. But that doesn't give enough credit to the full spectrum of retardation that UFC 215 brings to the table. Firstly, this was supposed to be UFC 216 and is the throwaway result of a freak boxing match and the inability to make an earlier match up between DJ and Dillasnake.

So they made this thrown together 'double header' be two fights, one a do-over, the other a fight the UFC tried to stop in favor of a much better fight, and both of which nobody gave a fuck about in the first place, come after the promotion shat all over both fights. Both debacles were a direct result of the dumpster fire that was UFC 213 with its two main events pulling out.

The only fight anybody cared about was cancelled (Ngannou-JDS) and then after all to have one of the two joke main events not go ahead - with talk of them rolling it over to the next card, means this shit-train just never stops.

This whole mess has consumed UFC 213, the original cancelled UFC 215, the replacement UFC 215, UFC 216 and UFC 217.
There have been much worse PPV cards.

Yeah, I'm calling a bit of bullshit as well. He was at the open workout hitting pads.
To be fair, it was the commission that said Borg couldn't fight. Well before he'd of got into weight cutting issues. If Borg "IS" ill, there's no way he'd want to pull out as he knows he may not get another shot. Borg would put on a brave face, hit pads and not let anyone think he was sick (except those close on his team), no fighter EVER says they're ill, injured or otherwise before a fight.

Don't forget, this commission is being EXTRA CAREFUL since they just had a post fight death in boxing very recently. For sure after Tim Hague's death any little thing that would normally be overlooked is going to be viewed differently and cautiously.

The commission is also supposed to release some statement about Hague and their findings right after this event too.

From what I've heard Johnson vs Borg is going to be on 216. Have they gone back on this?

I thought it was the UFC doctor that made the call?

Wasn't the last card in Edmonton a bit of a letdown as well? It was either Edmonton or Calgary but the last time they were out this way, 2 or 3 of the fights fell through. Dana promised the UFC or he would make it up to the fans....the UFC and Dana are definitely good at making promises.

The last and only one in Calgary had like 11 fighter changes (guessing). It was one of the worst events all time. Dana said more than a few times that he would be back to make it up to the fans and never has come back.

Would say thats a subtle saving grace for MM. Mighty Mouse was talking about how Kobe inspired him to know his worth, which was actually a guised Dillashaw ducking, and this card was gonna show his worth, for worse or worse.

Now poor Shevchenko has to suffer for Nunes having a runny nose most likely

dude it is an 1150km drive from vancouver and 300km to calgary and those are the closest cities.that is a long way to go for a chick fight main event.at least it isnt snowing yet if you have to look on the bright side of things
I know. Like many of us, though, I get frustrated as Edmonton being characterized as the tundra. It's not even close. As an outdoorsman, it's a great place to live. Also, while it is fucking the rest of the planet, global warming has been kind to us. Winter's a little shorter every year.;)

In addition, we see that distance between us and Van and Cowtown as a positive. :leftright:

TJ was the fight to have, money wise, but also to re-energize the division. Now all of that is gone.

Who is Might Mouse willing to fight for his record?
