Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Tyron Woodley announced today on Sirius XMthat he partially tore the labrum of his left shoulder. He also tore it a long time ago, but didn’t have insurance, so he wasn’t able to take care of it properly at that time. (looking at your bill, Bernie Sanders)

Now that there isn’t a clear-cut number one contender, he says he is going to take time off to try to get it rehabilitated.

Labrum tears suck. Hopefully it tightens up with rehab. I can't imagine throwing a punch with his kind of power knowing that if it misses my shoulder might come apart.

What's telling is that he simply wasn't making enough money to even have insurance when the injury occurred. He basically walked it off.

Sitting on injuries because you're broke is something identify with.

I also agree with him that it seems like a good time for the surgery.

Boring or not, develop another contender to challenge the belt.

Especially with shoulder injuries though they are easy to kind of disregard/'walk off' as you put it because the surrounding muscles often time pick up the slack. I think this just continuously got worse until that was no longer an option.

He put on a piss poor showing for a 3rd consecutive time, maybe it's an excuse or maybe it's the reason, who fucking knows. But it's not that he couldn't afford it, he didn't have insurance and was too cheap to pay his shoulder surgery out-of-pocket. That's a questionable set of decisions there.
