Misinformation exists, but it's typically not the government that's doing it. They don't have to. We do it ourselves. That's the crazy thing about the internet nowadays- the people are now the propagandizers. Fox and CNN are biased to an immoral level, but they are that way because of ratings. The public doesn't want to see a news source that's right down the middle. They want their biases confirmed. I think Facebook and Twitter is where people get most of their news now, which means that we are getting our news from each other. It's irresponsible to believe everything and it's up to the individual to be intelligent enough to determine the bullshit from the truth
I agree with you 100% that most of the bullshit put out there (at least 80%) makes people like myself who do question pretty much everything look like fools
Where we disagree is that i feel this is done intentionally through misinformation/disinformation to do exactly what you outlined
I did put you in a no win situation about proving these theories wrong which can be nearly impossible, my point was that (I'd say) 20% of the stuff is real but because of the 80% bullshit, we get criticized for believe any of it, even the teal shit
And to answer your question, I wouldn't take any of the pills, I wouldn't trust them that even 5 of the pills are fine
Think of this, though- most anti-government people and those who believe that the government controls and spreads information to divide us and keep us down were into Donald Trump. Donald Trump literally told the American people that every negative piece of news about him is fake and biased, and that if they want real information they need to either listen to him (the government) or Fox News, which is a tv network that I think we'd agree shows a very clear bias. Why, if these people are so into the idea that the government controls the spread of information and that it's a bad thing, do they support a man who literally tells them to ignore all criticisms because they're biased and to always go to him for the REAL story, especially when he has shown such a propensity to lie? It's because we are largely gullible, and we grab onto an idea and run with it with a fear of eventually finding out we were wrong all along. If someone is of the idea that the government spreads misinformation but they support Donald Trump, that's an almost scary contradiction.
