His handling of healthcare. He told us that he had an easy solution, and that he would repeal and replace immediately. He has made it clear since becoming president that he had no plan, whatsoever.
Immigration- He has ruined our relationship with Mexico in order to grandstand and give off the image that he is tough on immigration. Won't give up on the wall proposition, even though if you look at the context of what he says when he actually talks about his plans for the wall, he knows that his promises are not possible.
Attempting to open up public lands and national parks for sale to private companies.
Complete disregard for the need to combat pollution in our nation. Take climate change out of the equation. He has made it very clear that he does not intend to approach the issue of pollution. This hits me especially hard, because I live in the area with the worst air in the United States.
His incessant tweeting. You're going to say that this isn't policy so it doesn't count, but it has been very detrimental to the public's trust in his government, particularly because he regularly sends out his press secretaries to directly contradict his tweets. Likely to confuse people on the true story, or because they have that little trust in the intelligence of the populous. He has literally threatened war via social media. That's a major problem.
There's more, but as was pointed out earlier, this thread is about Hillary and I never ever have an issue with her lies being discussed.
IF you disagree with me on these points, here is part of my overriding issue with Trump, and why he is dangerous- he presents very simple (and almost always impossible) solutions to very complicated issues, and he ONLY does so to portray a certain image. Every piece of legislation he mentions, every time he tweets, every time he speaks in public the only goal is to groom his image. He knows what his constituency wants to hear and he says it irrespective of whether or not it's true. Now, this is the case with many politicians, but not to this extent, in my opinion. I have never seen a politician have this weird of a relationship with the truth, or a politician whose words meant so little (aside from MAYBE Hillary but I don't even think Hillary was this bad at it). He is responsible for a gigantic shift in the way that our country looks at politics, and it's a shift that is dangerous, in my opinion. We needed a revolution, but a real one. This one isn't real, and we will pay for it down the road. I fear that he either leads to us leaning further on the establishment as a response, or that every president going forward will simply be a façade, irrespective of qualifications. He's a terrible leader, he's an insecure, vengeful narcissist and it pains me to think that any person in our country could think that he's fit to lead us. I'm okay with the "he's better than Hillary" angle. I can accept that, and there were times when I agreed with that, but pretending that anything about this presidency has been good or genuine is where I get confused, and I'm not even a democrat. I wouldn't let a leader like him join me in coaching my high school baseball team, let alone lead the supposed greatest country on this planet.
EDIT: C'mon. You're familiar with the Kekistanis. You know that those particular people wanted Trump largely either due to White Nationalism or the fact that he's incompetent and he will bring the chaos that they crave. Do you really not think he's done anything that's detrimental?
My honest opinion is that as of yet he has not done anything detrimental to the nation
There is still plenty of time lol
The country is completely divided and that is not from Trump, it's because of the asshole that was in there before him
I find it mind boggling that people don't see how much barry truly fucked that country over
Good post first off, I'll try to get as much as I can
You and I both know the healthcare shit was never going to happen immediately, it was a campaign promise and anybody that has followed politics should know how often these things actually come through
I do see that as a lie and fucking right people should give him shit for it, but it's not detrimental to the nation
Being Canadian I'd say their entire health care system has been fucked forever anyways but many will disagree
Immigration we are going to disagree BIG time lol
I'm all for getting illegal immigrants the fuck out of the country and having an extremely strict immigration policy
America has a massive illegal immigration problem that imo needs to be fixed and the past leaders seemed to be anything but that
Now I honestly don't think the wall is the best way to combat the problem.. . But i do find it funny as fuck lol
Sorry, I enjoy the lulz
Public and national parks open for sale to private companies is the first one I'll admit I can see people having a legitiment reason to have hateful feelings towards him (unless they are an illegal immigrant, then they hate him for #2 but something I hope he accomplishes).
I'm completely against this one
Pollution, what can be done realistically?
I'm being honest here, I'm really not that big on pollution control and really don't know much about his policy, lack thereof and the same for the past presidents
Being that I don't know this one, I'll give it to you
Tweeting again we will disagree
I think it's amazing the public has access to their president 24 hours a day without having to go through the corrupt media that will only add their bias to what he says also he's hilarious and once again, I fucking love the lulz
The last part before the edit could be written about any president post JFK and hell, even JFK didn't tell you guys everything he was truly feeling
I agree it has made people look at politics different for not in the same way you do
Trump showed that the deep state can be defeated, even with all their corruption and all their bullshit, they lost
If Trump is the first time people are realizing that their president lies to them, they've been blind for a long ass time
And I don't mean that to insult, I mean it to say that those people were fine with the lies as long as those lies favored them
The edit we can mostly agree except I'd add 4 things mostly
1 - id say a majority from the Chans were in it to defeat Hillary more than anything
2 - It's not so much that we feel he's incompetant which will lead to chaos, we feel/felt he would be the only one able to create the chaos that is needed in this political system
3 - fuck white nationalist
4- I hate even including the Nazi bastards but you're right they do make up a portion of Trump supporters
I would ask though, if Trump having white nationalist supporters is a negative for Trump, did you feel the same about racist groups such as BLM supporting Barry?
Also what was your feelings on Barry enabling these hate groups?
